Head instructor Julie Peterson has worked in the wine industry for over 14 years and has more than 25 years of economic development and international marketing experience.  As founder and director of Marq Wine Group Ms. Peterson has helped dozens of notable clients, including Wines of Georgia, Provence Rosé, and the Austrian Wine Marketing Board, achieve substantial and sustained market growth in the US.  Ms. Peterson is thrilled to be lending her expertise to the Wine Market Academy and hopes that this course will help wineries across the globe feel confident and capable of building lasting US businesses.  

Course Structure: 

Wine Market Academy: Your Guide to Selling Wine in the US includes 8 in-depth modules, each covering a different topic vital to a winery’s understanding of the US market.  Each module will feature a video lesson ranging from about 40-60 minutes in length, a note sheet designed to be downloaded and completed while students watch the video lesson, an action steps document which includes both short and long term activities intended to be completed before students move onto the next module, and additional materials which aim to provide more in-depth information on a number or relevant topics and answer some of the most frequently asked questions by wineries looking to grow their businesses in the US.  By the end of Wine Market Academy all students should walk away with a complete personalized US Market Development Plan for Growth that is unique to their winery and all the insight and tools they need to put their plan into action.
